Glenshee Ski Centre, Cairnwell(2069-3502feet), 9 miles south of Braemar on A93. 23 Tows and 2 Chair-lifts. 3 Restaurants, shop & toilets. Ski and Snowboard hire and instruction. Extensive parking. With the UKs largest ski lift system, Glenshees 25 miles of piste extend over three valleys and four mountains over 3,000ft to give extensive and enjoyable skiing and snowboarding. Nursery slopes adjacent to the main car park are ideal starting place for beginners. With many lifts starting at car park level, there is an easy transition to the much larger area of novice runs. Then, as an intermediate, there are a great choice of 26 blue and red runs. A further 2 excellent black runs have been a formidable part of the Scottish experience for many years for experienced skiers.

Aviemore - Scotland
There are ski slopes in The Lecht area over near Tomintoul and the Cairngorms east of Aviemore. Check the Ski Scotland link for location and piste maps. A range of lift passes are available depending on how long you intend to stay in the area and lessons can be arranged for skiing, snowboarding and other snow sports. The Lecht Ski Centre has around 20 piste for all abilities of skiing serviced by chairlifts or tows. For snowboarders there is a Snowboard Funpark along with table tops, log slides, gap jumps and a full length half pipe. You can also have a go at a range of other fun snow activities like snow tubing. Snow canons are used on some slopes to boost natural snowfall. You can also hire equipment or book lessons through the Ski Centre.
