Pennard Golf Club, located 8 miles west of Swansea in the Gower Peninsula, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Golf has been played there since 1896, although the course owes most of its appeal today first to James Braid and then to C.K. Cotton. The holes are routed over classically undulating and tumbling linksland, full of hummocks, hillocks and hollows and pocked with dunes large and small; in sum, exactly what we might hope to find beside the shore. Yet this exceptional terrain is not beside the shore - It is two hundred feet above it. No wonder Pennard has been called "the links in the sky."

If you are looking for Golf in Wales, home of the Ryder Cup 2010 then look no further than The Gower Golf Club, set in 150 acres of rolling countryside located on the fringe of the Gower Peninsular, Britains first designated area of outstanding natural beauty. The 18 hole golf course is a testament to Donald Steels philosophy of a preference for the natural, traditional look. He has ensured the course is part of its surroundings, and utilised every feature in the landscape. Based just 10 minutes from the M4 we are 15 minutes from sandy beaches and the city of Swansea. With 4 * accommodation on site the club offers an ideal base for a short break or golfing holiday.

In 1992 Llanelli were founder members of the LoW finishing in 14th position at their first attempt. Since this time the club has endured relegation and been promoted back; the Stebonheath Ground where it prospered under the management of maverick boss Leighton James. Despite finishing fifth in their first season Llanelli opted to sack manager Leighton James in May 2000. During the following weeks John Lewis was appointed only to be replaced by Gary Proctor late in the 2000-01 season. The club avoided relegation only because no South Wales side applied for promotion.
